On March 5, Orban said that Hungary would not compromise with Ukraine over the blockade of Druzhba and would make the Ukrainians resume pumping oil "by force."

08:55 GMT 19.03.2026 (Updated: 11:17 GMT 19.03.2026) MOSCOW (Sputnik) - Hungary will block all EU summit decisions in Ukraine's favor until oil flows resume, Prime Minister Viktor Orban said Thursday.
"We would like to get the oil, which is ours, from the Ukrainians, which is now blocked by the Ukrainians, I did not support any kind of decision here, which is in favor of Ukraine ...
